Hello from Scott Sledge.
Kyogle Council is set to dump requirement for permits on forest clearing/logging ahead of the NSW government proposal to do the same. Of great concern is the fact that at least some of the Kyogle Councillors own forested land and thus have a clear conflict of interest should they vote, or even enter the debate. They must be put on notice. Please come to the rally in front of Council chambers this Monday, bring signs if you can, alert your net works.
I will be there.
Sledge for the forests.
KEG members have requested to speak at Council on Monday 14th November at 2 pm at Kyogle Council.
They will be supported by a ‘rally’. To see the agenda item 13.3, be suspended until the next Council meeting to allow for long term impacts to be fully debated & investigated. We also need as many people as possible to turn up on the day. Please get this message out to members and their networks urgently. For more info I urge you to read the Agenda item 13.3 PAGE 38 at this link.
